01Basic data

Official name The full official name of the university.

Short name Short form, e.g. FernUni Hagen.

Operator (Trägerschaft) E.g. staatlich (public), privat (private), kirchlich (church-run).

Location (Sitz) The town of the main location.

Country Country of the location.

Founded Year of foundation, four digits.

Students Rounded, with a reference date, e.g. über 5.000 (Stand WS 2025/26).

02Study & format

Study formats Several possible. Tick everything that applies.

03Recognition & accreditation

These details are bilingual. Please keep both versions up to date, otherwise the English profile page stays on the old version. The flag shows the respective language.

04Costs

The euro scale from 1 to 5 is assigned editorially and relative to the whole field, so you do not fill it in. What matters is the concrete figure with a source.
